Emily Kate

Founder and Executive Director

Ms. Emily Kate is a former coordinator of Google Arts & Culture in North America. She managed the cultural digitization operations in North America, managed hundreds of institutional partnerships, curated digital educational exhibitions and oversaw collections management software.

Emily is a current Co-Chair and former Member of the Museums Computer Network Programming Committee and delivered a sold out talk on Museum Technology at New York Digital Humanities Week. She recently represented the cultural sector on a panel at the United Nations in New York City.

She was previously on the digital team at the Smithsonian Institute, The Frick Collection and the Jewish Museum. Emily has given lectures and workshops on Art History and Museum Technology at numerous academic institutions including Harvard, Columbia, Yale, Julliard, NYU and UMass Amherst. Emily is an instructor at Christie’s Education, teaching a course titled Collections Digitization.

She holds a BA in History from Columbia University and a Masters in Museum Sciences from Harvard University.
